A native of St. Albans, West Virginia, Caitlin joined the West Virginia Department of Economic Development in 2007 in the Export Promotion Program. In her role, she has organized and led trade missions to promote WV exports to dynamic, international markets, such as Australia, India, China, Chile, Canada, Colombia, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, and South Korea. Each year, she coordinates the Governor’s Commendation for International Market Entry Awards. In between trade events, you can find her writing content for the Export Promotion Program newsletter, Trade Talk, and serving as the Treasurer for the West Virginia District Export Council. She also serves as WV Export Promotion Program liaison to the State International Development Organizations (SIDO) and EXIM Bank Regional Export Promotion Program.
She received her undergraduate degrees in International Affairs and Theater from Sweet Briar College in Virginia and completed her MBA from the University of Charleston. While at Sweet Briar she spent a semester abroad in China studying at Beijing Foreign Studies University. She passed the Certified Global Business Professional (CGBP) Exam in May 2012. She currently lives in Kanawha City with her husband and children.
