Dr. Michelle Taylor was born and raised in Princeton, WV. She attended West Virginia University for her undergraduate degree (foreign language—French). After graduating, Michelle worked as a regional sales manager for a Baltimore area company for three years. This time increased her interest in learning business and all that it encompasses. She came back to her home state to pursue her masters and quickly found my place as an admissions counselor at Bluefield State College in 2009. She graduated from WVU with a MBA in 2011 and began teaching as an Adjunct Instructor at Bluefield State College’s School of Business. Michelle is now a full time Associate Professor in the School of Business. Michelle was asked to join the Alliance for the Economic Development of Southern West Virginia as an operations council member and have happily served since its inception. In May 2020, she completed her doctorate in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University. Michelle looks forward to being a part of West Virginia’s story, as these country roads will always be her home.
