Jeff Lusk

Jeffrey Lusk is currently the Executive Director of the Hatfield McCoy Regional Recreation Authority, the multi-county economic development agency in charge of managing the over 700-mile Hatfield McCoy Recreational Trail System in Southern West Virginia. 

Mr. Lusk formal education includes a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marshall University and undergraduate degrees from Penn State University and West Virginia University Institute of Technology. 

Mr. Lusk currently serves as Chairman of the West Virginia Tourism Commission and serves on the Investment Committee and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Natural Capital Investment Fund, a United States Department of Treasury Community Development Financing Institution (CDFI) Fund. Mr. Lusk has worked as an economic development and business financing professional for over 25 years.

Mr. Lusk has is a Certified Economic Developer, Certified Community Developer and has obtained the designation as an Economic Development Financing Professional.

The Hatfield McCoy Trails is one of the largest professional managed motorized trail systems in the United States and is currently one of the fastest growing major tourist attractions in the state of West Virginia, growing over 12% and selling 56,258 user permits to trail riders in 2019 and creating over 50 new lodging businesses since its opening in October of 2000.
