As Communications Specialist for the Robert C. Byrd Institute (RCBI), Kathy Cosco, likes to say she tells others about the many ways RCBI helps innovators, entrepreneurs, manufacturers and makers advance their ideas. She’s been doing that for nearly two years.
Prior to joining RCBI, Kathy was a consultant with a public relations and crisis communications firm, a government relations manager for a Fortune 500 company, a communications director for the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection and spent 20 years in the marketing and public relations department of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
She is a native West Virginian, a graduate of Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications, and lives in Hurricane with her husband, Scott. They have two adult children, a daughter about to complete graduate school and a son in his junior year, both at Marshall University.
