My name is Taylor Brown. I am majoring in Psychology and minoring in Business Administration, Addictions Studies, and English at Concord University. I spent my entire life growing up in Wyoming County, West Virginia and am one of nine kids! I played basketball for 13 years, volleyball for five years, and have been competing as an amateur boxer for two years now – so I love to be active. I absolutely love to travel and have spent the last six months traveling to Atlanta, Kansas City, and California for research conferences as Ronald E. McNair scholar. I’m involved in many clubs and organizations on campus and serve as the Honors Student Advisory Council president. I am passionate about advocacy and work with elementary-aged students who have family members who struggle with Substance Use Disorder through Camp Mariposa. I’ve recently expanded my demographic for advocacy by joining the Prevention and Recovery Club at Concord and being the Student Leader for West Virginia Collegiate Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success.
